I have a friend who is living in Canada with her family. She is going to Shanghai for the 2010 World Exhibition this summer. She will take her children together. This is a great opportunity for her children to study Mandarin Chinese and expose to this amazing city. She wants her kids to enroll in a summer Chinese class together with a martial art class or some sports activities. If there are some schools and education centers which offer such classes, that will be great. Otherwise, she doesn't mind to hire a private tutor who is good at English and has Chinese teaching experience. This person must be willing to arrange other activities with the dildren such as sports, sightseeing, local tour guiding etc. It is 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, including language study in the morning and other fun activities in the afternoon. The following is some information of the children and her requirements:

The idea is for the children to take day classes (not overnight/camp) from Monday to Friday or part time classes combined with some martial art or sport activities in the afternoon, where they have the chance to be in contact with other local children at their ages and larn not only the language but the culture.

Information:
4 children: 3 boys and 1 girl ( 14, 13, 12 and 8 years old): all at the beginning level in their Mandarin Chinese study;

Period in Shanghai: June 22 to July 30: only day time, not night and weekend

Location: Pudong District. East Huangpu River. Better on Dongfang Road along subway line 6 between Zhangyang Road/Fuxing East Road and Nanpu Bridge. If the children need to go to a place to attend class, they prefer the location as mentioned above. If for private lessons at chidren's place, no need to concern the above information.

Tuition: If you are interested in the post and think you are suitable, please contact me. My friend will dicusss the tuition fee with you directly.
