新英汉词典 was my companion for decades. With almost no space left for marking, and Chines definition only, I shifted my eyes to the Oxford Advanced Learner's English-Chinese Dictionary.

For instance: the word "marrow",Oxford gave me a clear description, with no lengthy tails, while the New Chinese ...is like an irresponsible nurse treats a patient.This made me immediately said to it: enough is enough.
Of course, I still make a use of it.
