【音乐欣赏】《巴比伦河》The Rivers of Babylon 唱的到底是什么



还记得这个脍炙人口的老歌么？以前只是跟着唱，歌词也就是歌词吧，那时候根本不知道歌词更深层的意思，只觉得旋律优美，由黑人唱出来真是别有风味。

这里的Zion到底是什么意思呢？

让我们参考一下《圣经》中的诗篇137：

1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.

2 There on the poplars
we hung our harps,

3 for there our captors asked us for songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"

4 How can we sing the songs of the LORD
while in a foreign land?

5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill .

6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy.

7 Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did

8 O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,

看到这里就明白了，这首歌的作者一定是个黑人不说，而且他一定想要表达的是黑人的苦难，就像几千年前《圣经》在《诗篇》137里描述的犹太人人那样，被敌人带到异国他乡，做奴隶，被欺压，他们想念自己的故乡，他们忍受屈辱。

Zion 是 锡安，就是现在的耶路撒冷，它是历史上历代犹太国的首都。
