Lilac英语广播由于资金和时间的问题，曾一度中断，今天刚方方面面到位，正好可以凑合一期就又开讲了. 今天说的是一个普通词 pull  这个词本身是拉，拔的意思  比如: The drawer won't pull out. 抽屉拉不开 。  The train pulled into the station. 火车进站了。  The man pulled thoughtfully at his pipe. 那人若有所思地吸了烟。  Avatar pulls in large audiences. Avatar吸引大批观众  这些单字的用法都很简单， 现在我们来看两个pull的词组: pull over: To bring a vehicle to a stop at a curb or at the side of a road:靠向路边 The tourists signaled the driver to pull over. 游客们招呼司机把车开到路边。 We pulled over to watch the sunset. 我们把车停在路边看日落，很浪漫的说 我今天着重说的是 pull off pull off – Informal. 在口语中经常出现, 得胜, 得奖, 完成, 这个成功完成什么事情是不容易的( To perform in spite of difficulties or obstacles) pulled off a last-minute victory. 最后一分钟取得胜利  大家体会下面两个例句: (To get away with something) "I can't believe we pulled off that prank" or "Only he could pull off wearing a shirt like that to school" 其实这个pull off经常出现在八卦杂志上女明星奇装斗艳这一栏 Jennifer Love Hewitt attempts one of the trickiest of all fashion feats: the dress with pants look.
