Severe winter, pink sky, sunset. Here is a girl playing cross country snowshoeing. Snowshoeing has been around thousands of years. Modern day snowshoeing is made up of casual snowshoers who hike trails for pleasure in winter! It is a great alternative for many sports, especially those who like running.

The fresh air in bitter winter is like…mint! Right, chills your nose and freezes your teeth! Have you ever tried taking a deep breath outside, with a mint in your mouth, when temperature drops to -20’C or even below? Then you’ll get me!

For many, Canadian geese flying north or the season’s first robin are signs that spring is at the corner. Typical colors of Canada’s early spring are: green and grey.

Early May is the best time to pick fiddleheads (蕨菜), which’s around $6.99/lb in supermarket. But you’ll find this fern growing riotously in some part of Canada’s forests. All organic, all natural and all free! Rain waters, fallen leaves fertilize. Here is a baby fiddlehead! I won’t pick this, because I know that an ocean of fiddleheads must be somewhere near.

Let me show you some adult fiddleheads we picked in 2009’ spring. They’re so fresh, still whitish fluffy! HO~HO~

As temperature increases, people are getting wild. It’s perfectly right on me. I’m not a winter animal, but a summer freaky. After hibernated for a couple of months in winter, my energy finally gets full back as it’s getting warm.

What did you say? I can’t hear you!

It’s said that purple tulips are very rare and valuable.

Shortly after the spring bulbs are in full bloom comes the first wave of perennial colors: Million Purple Thousand Red

夏天了

Summer at cottage. Situated in an ideal location for fishing, canoeing, and swimming, this cottage area is surrounded by mountains and lakes. Have you ever eaten bass 鲈鱼 before? Do you like fishing bass? If yes, this is definitely a “must-go” in summer! Again, like fiddleheads, they’re organic and free!

My first-time fishing was quite disappointing…none of any bass, I caught too much sun fish and cat fish. When realized that the fishhooks my hubby bought were too small for bass to bite, it was already near the time heading home. I’ve never thought I could get up at 5:00 am only for fishing……standing still and bearing mosquitoes, black flies, even yellow weasel (黄鼠狼) for hours!! (BTW, we need license to fish.)

Our friends caught altogether about 17 or 18 bass. This is a chopped one, prepared for Bass Soup! The most tender fish I’ve ever had! 好嫩~好鲜啊~

Actually this one was taken in late spring of 2009. I’m too lazy to renumber these pictures.

A big and strong bird circling above downtown lake. A friend, grown up in country farm, said this one looks like an eagle or a hawk! Hubby caught a shot for it and when we opened it as original size on computer at home……a breathtaking beauty! We did a little bit research on internet; this bird is confirmed to be a Broad-Winged Hawk.

Time flies and I’m sad when Fall comes, which always makes me feel depressive for a couple of weeks. Because summer is over. Call it seasonal depression? Anyway while hiking along river side, the full vivid colors of the sky, lake, and foliage push all dullness away!

The last picture, my favorite of 2009: 春日绿波小桥下,住着一群鸭;跑上前去数一数,二、四、六、七、八!

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why

Slow it down
Make it stop
Or else my heart is going to pop
'Cause it's too much
Yeah, it's a lot
To be something I'm not

I'm a fool
Out of love
'Cause I just can't get enough

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment
I'm so scared but I don't show it
I can't figure it out
It's bringing me down I know
I've got to let it go
And just enjoy the show

The sun is hot
In the sky
Just like a giant spotlight
The people follow the sign
And synchronize in time
It's a joke
Nobody knows
They've got a ticket to that show

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I dont know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment
I'm so scared but I don't show it
I can't figure it out
It's bringing me down I know
I've got to let it go
And just enjoy the show

Just enjoy the show

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I dont know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried
And I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment
I'm so scared but I don't show it
I can't figure it out
It's bringing me down I know
I've got to let it go
And just enjoy the show

dum de dum
dudum de dum

Just enjoy the show

dum de dum
dudum de dum

Just enjoy the show

I want my money back
I want my money back
I want my money back
Just enjoy the show

I want my money back
I want my money back
I want my money back
Just enjoy the show
