I list some facts providing a little more background for you to understand the difficult relationship between this country and western countries.

1) Middle East has the biggest light oil reserve while Venezuela has the largest heavy oil reserve (1 trillion barrels) in the world. Before 2007 (when Chavez nationalized these properties), these huge reserves are controlled by Western companies (>50% interest).

2) Western companies were main providers for her military equipments

3) They were not treated equally and respectively historically (according to their opinions).
