Actually, I don't know who Barbara Walter is ( gonna google her). Thanks for pointing it out. I just followed the audio clip of New Concept English II on ebigear website which has strong up and down intonation.

You are right about miles and I have a little bit difficult for /il/ and I remembered it shoud be /maiyl/.
