Fishing in Caribbian on Feb. 14, 2009

1. Fishing
On Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, I was awaken by my cell phone. One of my colleague, Dave, would invite me to go fish with him. There is a canal connecting to sea just behind his house, so he drove his boat to the marine of my hotel and picked me up.

Dave's boat was powered with two - 200 HP Engines. The boat is very powerful. The maximum speed can reach 34 mph. Since there were no lady on the boad, three men drove the boat often at the maximum speed to have the thrill of speeding.

 

Dave got his first fish, which marked our first catch today.

2. Cuban Cigar

We caught total 10 fishes. Since each of them is so small, we returned all the fishes to sea. We all were excited with each catching. Dave pulled out a box of Cuban Cigar to celebrate our harvest. In the U.S., there is no way one can buy real good Cuban cigar. So I tried my first taste of smoking a cuban sigar. (note that a cuban sigar is very expensive even here.)
