One’s eyes are bigger than one’s stomach.
眼大肚子小;心有余而力不足

For Example,

1) We’re going to a self-service restaurant to have dinner, boys, but remember your eyes are bigger than your stomach. Don’t waste any food.

2)I thought I could finish all this ice cream,but I can't. My eyes are bigger than my stomach.
