APAD: A leap of faith
Idiom “a leap of faith” is a metaphor for believing in or committing to something intangible, uncertain, or unproven, often associated with spiritual belief or a major, risky life decision. Coined by philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, it signifies acting outside the bounds of reason, embracing risk over certainty.
It involves taking a risk on an unknown outcome, often moving forward based on trust rather than reason, commonly used in contexts of personal decisions, spiritual belief, or courageous, uncertain actions.

Looking back in history, there are many "adventures" humans did based on "a leap of faith", like ocean voyagers to discover new lands; going to the moon and beyond; transplanting animal organs to the human body; ... to list a few.
Now, I believe we are facing another big challenge. It ain't about discovery of unknown objects, but about ourselves: man-made and rapidly developing Artificial intelligence (aka AI) is everywhere, at work, in life, on and off line ... We are being amused and tested by it at the same time.
This time, I refuse to follow "a leap of faith". I want to keep my eyes wide open and observe. I might give in to it eventually, like I did with the cell phone
. But I want to know what I'm getting into...
I know I'm in the minority and out of fashion as I often am, but there's nothing wrong to "zig when others zag", and I'm proud to be humbly different.
Maowi, are you with me? Okay, I got one for company, at least!
Wish All a good and lazy Sunday ...
