APAD: Straight Shooter

As you can see from pictures above (which are worth two thousands words btw), the idiom "Straight Shooter" now has little to do with guns nor real shooting, but a type of personality.  

I appreciate people like that, and have met a few in my life and felt very lucky to be friends with some of them.  Their honesty and directness might be "hard to swallow" (2nd idiom ;-) sometimes, but they will certainly come to help when I'm in a time of need (3rd one）: "friends in need are true friends indeed" ;-)

Also, I think Maowi the cat is a Straight Shooter too, but a cat one.
