今年年初在新奥尔良和家人一起旅游度假，住在downtown，因为临街，隔着窗子每晚直到凌晨三四点都可以听到街头驻唱歌手的免费演出。有一次听到一位歌手充满激情与柔情的喊唱，“So darling darling, stand by me, oh, stand by me", "Oh stand, stand by me, stand by me", 歌声沧桑而饱含深情，闻之动容，在我脑海中盘旋多日，挥之不去，度假回来后赶快在网上依据这句歌词搜出了原唱，真是好听的抒情歌曲啊，称之soul music绝不为过。

歌词也超级棒，“If the sky that we look upon

Or the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me”

大意是就是“即使天空颤抖崩塌，或者高山投于大海，我也不会哭泣，不会流一滴眼泪，只要你还在我身边”，特别类似于我们中文古诗里说的“山无棱 天地合 才敢与君绝”（高山变成平地，天和地又混为一体，我才愿意和你分开。），man, this is romantic to the gut!
