Just tell you a tip:

On ebay or craigslist you could find very cheap cameras and ring flash.

I bought 2 Nikon D70 for $37 and $50 (without lens) on ebay (when I bought a new D70 in 2004, it was $1100）.

I bought a Ring flash SB-21 on ebay for $60, you could use it on any camera, Canon, Sony, Pentax....

With a cheap lens and a reverse adapter, you could take a nice close-up picture (but you could not mount the ring light on the lens, since the lens front is on the camera body).
