【One Idiom】Kick the can down the road

刚到北美的时候，都是租公寓房间住，对Kick the can down the road非常不理解。后来买了房子了，就有体会了。也不知道什么时候那阵风把一些垃圾刮到自家门前，每次收垃圾时就捡吧捡吧一起收走。但也有些时候，就把不知道哪里来的破可乐铝包装罐一脚踢开让它顺坡滚到下家。

The parliament never solves the problem of racist discrimination in our country. Politicians love to talk against discrimination, yet discrimination has never disappeared in our society, nor even reduced. The parliament is just kicking the can down the road.
