因此，美国古典音乐在那个时期，有不少将爵士乐高雅化的段落，融入大部头的严肃音乐作品。证明爵士乐实际上拥有黑白两个根。实际上，爵士乐的技巧高度和精致程度的确可以和古典音乐较劲，不过，是建立在叛逆的自由基础之上而已。
