Alone I sit
upon the shore to night

pumping like a dark
deafening heart

I see a shadow
a shadowy ghost 
touching the breasts
sobbing like a baby in the depth
of water that grows cold and pale

Forgive me,

into the night
into that battling sea
to steal the pearl
from the raging sea

Beyond those thousands hills and cliffs

You are fading into steel
steel waves of the song of mine
singing the story of the unforgiving sea
