You think English is hard, right? Actually it isn't hard and you aren't slow either. The only thing you missed is a procedural learning method, and it does take time.

Those people you think they are great may have gone through extensive study or training in some phases of their lives, which you may not know. Some may have studied English for long long time, definitely they are not suddenly getting there - Rome isn't built over night. As only you stick to it, determined to learn it, and work hard on it, you'll be there before you know it.
