He was basically saying your second and third points were not legitimate and wanted you learn "The Absolute Participial Construction", of course, in addition to "dangling phrases".  Sorry, I have no intention to rain on your parade.  Just can't help it.  I guess, I laughed my teeth off last time.  Without teeth, I have nothing to worry about now.
