Lingling's neighbor Lora  is a basketball coach, in her 30s, about 6 feet tall,  small breasted, with sun-strained eyes, golden curly short hair, and  good at a variety of sports, and always smiles friendly smile.  What a sportive woman-- Lingling  has never found any other woman looks so athletic and which it is not likely she shall ever find again.  Lora  has a green thumb, so needless to say, she is supposed to have a beautiful garden, but the most plants in her garden are evergreen plants, such as Andromeda, and perennial plants like oregano and chives, and the whole nine yard, but flowers are seldom found. Lingling understands that the beauty standards of a scenic landscape should be different in the eyes of different people. Linging always says she is a lazy bum, so she never wants to keep up with Jones. She thinks that  as long as it is not too messy, she is fine with her own garden which only have some chives that she brought from Toronto home two years ago. Lora's garden starts at her front door to the boundary with Lingling's. A line of prosperous Christmas trees runs from Lora's garage  toward the end of her driveway, that not only blocking Lingling's view of seeing her neighbor bedrooms and kitchen, but also preventing  sounds from being heard in a certain degree,  giving both Lora and Lingling good privacy. However, it is said that  if you are nosy enough吹牛者吹牛者 or if you stop screaming you might hear your neighbors scream. A stifling hot Saturday afternoon, comfortably, Lingling was laying down on her zero gravity chair in her back deck, enjoying her favorite ice cream. It was quiet around, only all of a sudden, some sounds like a severe quarrel between Lora and someone else was audible in her yard. Lingling leaned forward unashamed, trying to hear. But, darn! Her English is not good enough to understand what they said in a low voice. What a shame!  A few minutes later, the quarrel  sank down, and then ceased altogether.
