《孟子 梁惠王上》选段翻译练习

孟子对曰：“王好战，请以战喻。填然鼓之，兵刃既接，弃甲曳兵而走。或百步而后止，或五十步而后止。以五十步笑百步，则何如？”
孟子回答道：“大王喜欢打仗，请让我拿打仗作比喻。咚咚地擂起战鼓，刀刃剑锋相碰，（就有士兵）丢盔弃甲，拖着兵器逃跑。有的逃了一百步停下来，有的逃了五十步住了脚。（如果）凭着自己只逃了五十步就嘲笑那些逃了一百步的人，那怎么样？”

曰：“不可，直不百步耳，是亦走也。”
惠王说：“不可以，只不过后面的逃不到一百步罢了，这同样是逃跑呀？” Mencius said "Your Majesty like to fight, let me take the war as an analogy. As the war drums pound, soldiers fight against each other with swords and knives. Among those soldiers, some  might abandon their armors and drag their weapons to escape the battle field. Some of them escape one hundred paces and stop, and some might escape only fifty paces. If those who escape only fifty paces laugh  at those who escape one hundred paces, then how?  " King Hui said: "No need. They are the same. Escaping one hundred or fifty paces are not different. The only thing is those who escape fifty paces  were behind。”
