Lesson six （听着像sex） Percy Buttons 
I have just moved to a house in Bridge （听着像bridger 的音）Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. He asked me for （没有卷舌）a meal and a glass of beer. In return for this, the beggar stood on his head（听着像/ei/的音） and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate（/ei/发得像/唉/的音） the food and drank the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away（这个/ei/发得很好！）. Later a neighbour told（嘴巴应该稍微突出一下发/o/，发 l 时，舌头触及上颌膛，ol可同时发出。这个比较难你先练习把o 发好。） me about him. Everybody （应该是长音i）knows him. His name（同上，/ei/发得off）  is Percy Buttons. He calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for （没卷舌，这是美音，应该把卷舌吧。）a meal and a glass of beer.
