a short cut?

Speaking of improving reading effectiveness, I am also looking for the so-called short cut. I am thinking maybe it is a good idea to cut every book that we read into 2 pieces :)))so we could finish reading them twice as fast without losing effectiveness. Oh, what a goofy idea I am being spacey again. I woke up without smelling the coffee this morning. So forgive me please.
