It is probably because we wanted to please our own lips more than to please others' ears. :-) The fact is, well written poems are the easiest and most enjoyable to recite.

Folks here actually have done quite a few voice dub projects before. And from time to time, we have emulated and/or recited many kinds of material in the past couple of years.
