西安曾经长达一千一百年为中国首都，因秦始皇埋葬地的兵马俑而著名。秦始皇于西元前二百二十一年统一中国，并自称皇帝。

As the eleven hundred-year-old capital of historic China, Xi'an is famous for it's terra cotta soldiers from the burial ground of Qin dynasty's emperor who unified China in the year 221 B.C. and self-awarded the name "the first emperor".
