A new research shows that, for healthier hearts, besides less consumption of sodium, Americans should also increase the intake of another important mineral, potassium, which can be found in many fruits and vegetables.

2.钠是盐的重要成分,有迹象表明它会使血压升高,进而增加心脏病发作的风险,但至于高钠饮食是否真的会增加心脏相关疾病发作的风险,各种研究结果却是说法不一。

Even though several evidences have indicated that sodium, an important constituent of salt, may elevate blood pressure and increase the risk of heart attack, no consensus has been reached so far with regard to the real connection between high-sodium diet and higher risk of heart attacks.
