您指定我为您的文章作修改，令我受之有愧。我不是英文老师，更不是什么专家，我只不过是在美国长大，受教育。从幼儿园到小学，到初中，高中，然后大学，并取得Ph.D学位。

一般在美国土生土长的人都有这个功能，就是和其他人交谈，不出三句就能知道他们是不是在美国土生土长的了，还有，他们住在东岸或者是西岸都会有不同的表达方式，从他们的姓氏更加能够看出他们的祖籍。

这还能体现在报纸杂志，电视电影上。不管是用什么词汇，意思是一样的，通俗易懂。如果文法是错误的，一眼就能够看得出来。就像：“今晚我们出去吃饭吧”和”我们今晚出去吃饭吧“是一样的。如果是：”出去我们吃饭今晚吧“就是语法错误了。

在当今美国社会，种族主义还是相当严重。早在70年代，我在学校里还是有同学叫我：“Hey, Chinaman”。现今，在华人圈子里有过之而无不及，中国人看不起中国人彼彼皆是，一些会说两句英文的中国人对自己的同胞从不说中文，而他/她们根本不知道他/她们的口音是中国人的口音，自以为高人一等。更有甚者，一些嫁娶了白人的中国人更加嚣张，自以为人上人，自以为是英文一定高人一等，而他/她们根本不知道是自己在出丑。

Showers came down quietly ( at least i didn't hear them) during my sleep without waking me up from my sleeping dreams. The garden quenched its thirst by drinking enough rainfall overnight.

It's another bright shiny morning with a few wispy clouds hovering in an otherwise clear blue sky. The cucumbers are growing large enough for me to pick up, following by the snow beans which are now in flower and forming their pods.

See you late afternoon, my cucumbers; See you after work, my green beauties. I will get around tonight to making you guys a much much more beautiful cucumber salad and cucumber juice. :)).

Re：你用flowering是对的，不能用blossoms，在美国，Blossom一般是代表花卉开花和树上的花开花。就像樱花开花--- Cherry Blossoms。
