It has been proved by experiments that children are able to learn swimming at very early age. In a special swimming pool in Los Angles, infants have been able to hold breath under water  before they can  walk (Infancts were quite skillful in holding breath under the water before they were able to walk, The two-month infants show(showed) no sign of being unwilling in water(to get into water). They adapt(ed) to swimming so quickly that they can (could) pick up objects on the bottom of the pool. Their favorite sport is(was) a tricycle race in water. Tricycles are(were) set side by side on the bottom of swimming pool of seven feet deep. The one who first reaches(reached) the other end of the pool wins(won). Many kids pedal (pedalled) the tricycles whereas more prefer (preferred) pushing or pulling the devices. Some of them have been (were) able to cover the whole distance without lift(lifting) their head out of the water for breathing. Only (delete Only or may) may time (+can) answer if(whether) they (+can)become an Olympic champion in (+the) future or not.  (In the meanwhile),They should be very encouraging for some (-some, +those)of us who become out of breath in trying to swim the first(delete the first, add shorter than)five yards.

Experiments have shown that children can start learning to swim (how about start to learn swimming) when they are very young(ok, or little?, or at the early stage). In a specially-designed swimming pool of (in) Los Angeles, children that couldn’t walk yet (unable to walk yet)held their breath under water with ease. Even two-month-old infants did not appear hesitant going into the water. They got used to swimming so fast (quickly) as to (that they could) pick up stuff (objects)from the pool bottom (the bottom of the pool). One of the young swimmers’ favorite games was (+the)underwater tricycle race. Tricycles were lined up on the 7-foot-deep swimming pool bottom (put "bottom of" in front). The children competed to be the first to reach the other end of the pool. Many children paddled with their feet on the tricycles (how about paddled tricycles with feet), but most of them liked to push or pull them. Some children could go (were able to swim) the whole(entire, full?) length without breathing out of the water. Only time can tell whether they could(can, are able to, will?) become an Olympic Champions (+ in the future) or not. In the meanwhile, it(they) should be an inspiration for (to?)  those of us who can’t swim more than (delete more than) 5 yards without being out of breath.
