yes, i agree with some of your point and suggestion to that friend. but sometimes things are not that easy. I went back to china to visit my parents after 3 years away from them. i also think the expense is too much, sometimes i also want to go back to china. but the longer you staying abroad, the more difficult to make decision. and now we are family of 4, maybe more unaffordable than this friend. anyway, i understand her/his situation, life is not easy, and everything will become better. Give more encourage!
