I like you point of "没有很多经验的朋友，一些脸面上的活儿可以请人做，免得影响结果" - it's a good idea to have some professional help out, especially the first timers.

One reason I had the dry wall vertically installed is that it can be handled by one person - to put it in place.

Dry wall ceiling not only looks better, it saves money and space. The drawback is that you have no access to the wires and pipes behind it - it might be critical in basement, as you may need to access the AC pipes sometime.

"照片里的电灯开关预留的盒子似乎位置高了不少" - that is not switch box, it is a closing Phoneline IN box the builder put on the concrete wall. According to the code (actually a inspector told me), you can't hide any ele box behind the wall - that's why i have to extend the box to the dry wall and add a cover to it.
