老川说美中贸易赤字时，忽略了美国驻中国公司直接在中国的销售额，这个不算在出口里。若算进去正好和赤字打平。

Total sales of US companies inside China, not part of the US trade data (2016): $343 Billion

US exports to China: $170B

Wipe out the trade deficit (2018): -378B

Sales of US companies inside China vs. Chinese companies inside US: 343B vs. 35B

"When we talk about US/China trade deficit, it's a missing number. Lots of US companies set up shops in China to be closer to customers and markets"

以上这些都没有算在进出口贸易里。

但如果中国报复，抵制美国在华公司的销售，那美国就损失不小。但贸易数字上看不见，这也是影响这些公司股票的重要原因之一。
