Is it crazy to buy big house now?

Our small family live in a small house (2100 sq ft). Now there is a big house we all like in good school district. (price is very good) We can rent our small house out, and purchase the big one. The problem is that the current economic situation is not stable at all, and who know what will happen next. Do you think that it is a good time to buy, or we'd better wait.

Support 2 houses is a little stretch, but doable for us.
