RE investment would be the one of the worst in next 5 years

At current situation, in my humble opinion, investment in RE is one of the worst stratigies, especially in high profiling area . However, if you need to buy a place to house and raise your family, you should go ahead to buy one. Life is too short to wait for anther 3-5 years when the RE market trend will be clear.
