There was one year the teacher of my kid was from Hawaii. All parents chipped in to get her a ticket to home on Christmas. Needless to say, the airline ticket to Hawaii around that time was expensive, so she hasn't spent Chrismas with her family for a few years.

She was in tears that day.

We all feel good about it. She was a very nice teacher.
