I am not sure why you still get stuck here. For example, there are two house S (small) and B (Big).
S drops from 500k to 400k, 20% drop. B drops from 800k to 500k 35% drop. If one has some cash reserve, sells house S, injects some cash to buy house B at 500k. B will bounce back faster and stronger in the near future. Hope you get the points.
