Is house orientation very important?

Hi, we saw a house recently and would like to buy. It is very good condition. However, the orientation is not ideal. 3 of 4 bedrooms facing pure north, including master bedroom. Only one bedroom, breakfast room, family room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms ?! facing south. The entrance faces north. My mom thinks this house is just terrible, but I think the orientation for houses in US is not that big deal like in China. However, I feel a little uncomfatable that master bedroom faces north, and its bathroom faces south!? Do you think it is big problem? Shall I continue to search and buy another one?
