Salary information

When I fly back from China (via AA), I talk to the waitress (all very old). They told me that they get $48 per hour in the air. It takes 3 days to fly to and from China (1 night sleep in Shanghai), then rest at home for 7 days. So fly to China 3 times a month, rest 21 days at home. The pay is about $40 K annually. If you want to fly more, then it is considered overtime, which is $6 more per house, to $54 per hour. In that case, you fly 3 days, rest 2 days. Each month fly to China 6 times, rest at home 12 days. Annual pay is a little over $80 K.

But these flight to China are most popular one, so have to be at least 20 years of seniority before even been considerred to be selected. Most of them has 30 years of experience. That is why they are so old.

The starting salary for waitress is about 20 K.
