Fauja Singh is widely recognized as the world's oldest marathon runner, famously becoming the first centenarian to complete a full marathon at the 2011 Toronto Waterfront Marathon at age 100. Known as the "Turbaned Tornado," he ran his first marathon at age 89 and continued competing until 2013.
