This is "The Weight of Oneself" (Le Poids de Soi), a sculpture by artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset.

 

  • The sculpture is located in Lyon, France, on the banks of the Saône River near the Palais de Justice. 
     
  • It depicts a standing man carrying a seemingly lifeless, identical man in his arms. 
     
  • The work is meant to represent the idea of a person being their own rescuer and also their own burden.
