The major reasons for me were

The major reason for me to send my kids to private school was:

(1) Public school is not that good, regardless it is in a good school district or not. I went to high school in US so I know more.

(2) We are too busy to teach kids more outside of his school, so we pay a little more to have the professional to do it. Private school in Grade K is full day schedule instead of half day in public school.

(3) We know sending the kids to private school does not ensure their success in the future. We know. However, we feel that it is extremely important for the kids to have good habits and knowing the priorities when they were young. Private school certainly offers that.

(4) It does cost a lot but you do get what you pay for. Stratford for Grade K is $15K per kid, plus a lot of other extra cost. But you get twice the education than public school. And there is no bad kids in the classes. Any kid that do not behave will be asked to leave after three incidents. Thus in general, kids concentrate more in learning and learn more.
