First there should be a switch beside the AC unit just turn it off.
Second there is a switch in the electricity panle, go switch off and on every one and find the right one to switch it off.
Third after you switch it off from the thermset, the fan will continue to blow the hot air for few minutes until the unit cools off.
Fourth change the thermset and it is simple DIY.
