Argentina: look for oil certified by San Juan or Mendosa
Morocco: look for labels with “AOC” or Appalachian Dorgen Control A
Greece: look for “PDO” such as Crete or Kalamata
Turkey: look for oil certified by the TSE (Turkish Standard Institute), in regions like Iden or Chanakalay
Tunisia: look for labels with “AOC” or Appalachian Dorgen Control A, in regions like Seuss or Monaster
Egypt: look for labels with “COI” or International Oil Council, or EU certification,
USA: look for labels with “CO” or California Olive Oil Council or USDA Organic
Italy: look for labels with “DOP” or “IGP”
Spain: look for “Harvest Date,” if only an expiration date, walk away. (In general: suspect anything less than 10 USD per liter)
