当双方排好阵, ready, set.  双方等 QB 发号开始.  Center 扔球 (snap) 给 QB 前, offense 任何人动都是 penality (false start); defense 有人 cross the line of scrimmage 是 penality (offside).  

你会听到 QB 叫些暗号, 如 Omaha, Omaha, and etc.  当他叫 hut, Center 扔球 (snap) 给 QB, a new play starts
