Following our best efforts we are not able to commission your gas meter at this time.  We have now exhausted all options open to us to fix the technology.  Just to be clear, this is not uncommon, and we have numerous customers in the same position as yourself.  Of course, we will continue in the background to find a solution for the smart element of your gas meter, but in the meantime you will have to provide manual readings from it.

 

By way of an apology and to resolve your complaint would you be prepared to accept £50.00 by way of good will?
