Agree with you! It's not all about money, but being "poor"

is not an excuse to be rude or unreasonable, I don't like people who play the "poor" card. And guess what, although LZ is much better off than them, I bet LZ and her hu*****and work hard for it. so even $500 is not that much, I would give it to people like that.
