Do you agree that the US is the best country in the world even with its failings?

I wish Americans would stop asking this ridiculous question. No country other than the US brags about being the greatest and certainly no other country feels you are the greatest.

You guys have more people in jail than anyone else. You have more medical bankruptcies by FAR than any other country. Your religious right still have a big say in your laws and government (abortion). Your school's teach American-centric history - I've personally read dozens of questions here on Quora wondering what took everyone so long to help the US in world war 2. In every civilized country except the US I can expect to walk down the street without being shot. Your police are basically the military and they take a no-deviation approach to law-enforcement that winds up killing more people across your country than anywhere else in the world. People are afraid of the police…can you blame them?

I mean, ya you have problems but they're really big ones. Other countries seem to have sorted out gun laws, health and education but you guys are like the weird step brother who does everything different because it's “his way”.

I mean - you still use Imperial. Wtf??

No. America is not the greatest country in the world, not by any metric I've seen.

That's not to say I dislike my American brothers. But I DO worry about them.
