Based on my own estimate, China 2018 GDP per capita was ~$28900 US, almost three times higher than the officially pronounced figure.
Last year, China electricity production per capita (EPPC) was 5000 kwh, surpasing the entrance threshold required for so-called a developped country. UK EPPC was 5024 kwh last year, indicating the each British produced 24 kwh more electricity than a people in China. Notably, UK 2018 GDP per catipa was $42450 US, whereas China 2018 GDP per capita was $9950 US based on China Statistics. A simple comparison suggests that China GDP has been much underestimated for years!
