高铁和航空的一个区别是upgrade的难易和成本。高铁要upgrade很困难，不仅要upgrade列车，也要upgrade全线

的铁轨。航空要upgrade就容易得多。许多航空公司的飞机是从 aircraft leasing companies lease 来的，upgrade 很容易，aircraft leasing companies 可以把原来的飞机租给小一点航线的航空公司。各种形态的飞机在各个航线上调动很灵活。
