首先美国学校有legacy是最大动机，可以为子女买大学录取通知书。而中国没有这项福利；

美国大学的名气较高，特别是人文方面的,  中国富家子弟估计也大部分不会去读科技理工，和美国的富家子弟相似喜欢玩虚。

中国个高校也有校友捐款的，数额也不小，可上网查查就知道。
