all party secretaries (#1) from the county level up are all Han Chinese? It is called Automounous Region (which is a joke). They were there first. Shouldn't they have more power in their land? Most Han Chinese do not live in Tibet, or even Xinjiang, long and have no sense of belonging there (no need or desire to learn or integrated into local culture). We should against all forms of discrimination.

I have never been to either place. Seem like you have lived in Tibet and would love to know your experiences. I do have a couple of friends who grew up in Xinjiang and moved out as soon as their parents retired. They have never learn the local language (no need, no desire) and do not feel belonging there (never went back after left).
