CHOOSE to live in the west?

Unfortunately, corruption in China (and some other countries) are so rampant and open, it is very difficult for most business people not to bribe to get things done or stay out of trouble.  I'm sure nobody is happy w/ doing this. That is why democracy and associated check and balance are necessary to control the corruption.
